RAYA OPEN HOUSE @ PANDAN INDAH - AMPANG JAYA - SELANGOR

SUNDAY 2nd JULY 2017

Today me & my friend attended an open house held by the Government of Selangor, which was located in Padang Perbandaran MPAJ, Pandan Indah. The clock at the time is 11.00am but the crowd was already at its peak. We thought we were the earlier one. But unfortunately, we are not.

You can feel the heat beginning at the parking area. We are not luckily enough to have space in front of the field. We have to park at MPAJ main building, and take a bus ride to the field. Have to say the system is good, and they manage it well, but, because of the over populated crowd, things might have some hick-up sometimes.

The bus will drop you at the main entrance, where you will see the main signage. From here as you enter, you can see a lot of stalls on your right, and a big stage on your left.

There are almost 47 stalls serving variety of food. Nasi Impit, Lemang, Rendang, Murtabak, Satay, and the list goes on. Anything that normal Raya festival would served, you can find it here. Though a lot of choices, this food does not come easy. You have to, well, I can say, "fight" your way thru to get them. Need a little bit of que and waiting, then, you will get your share.

You can seat at the big tent in the middle, or, you can just seat freely along the alley way or where ever that you find free and appropriate. You can hear the voice of the Menteri Besar having his speech as you enjoy dining your meal.

There also guest artist like Siti Sarah and others invited to perform at the main stage. You can seat while enjoy their songs and have some chit-chat with people around you.

People from all walks of life come here today. Most of them come from as far as from Dengkil, and even Semenyih. Like me, I'm from Petaling Jaya. Not so far ( I guess ), but still, took 45 minutes ride to get here. Well, this is an open house right ? All are invited.

If you have any opportunity to attend an open house held by the government, or any other govern bodies in Malaysia, do go and try. It is something new experience to gain, and you can see almost all kind of people there. From there only you will know that Malaysia is full & rich with people and culture.

Enjoy !
