Royal Tuanku Munawir Mosque

Hiker will probably meet up at Royal Tuanku Munawir Mosque, before continue to Mount Jono.

We started our journey roughly around 8.00am. Walking our way pass thru rubber tree area until we reach Sungai Chembong, a river that is quite shallow.

Along the way you will find big rocks. The jungle here is not so heavy, and the track is pretty much straight forward I might say. There is no proper resting point here, so, feel free to stop whenever you think it is necessary.

It would take approximately 3 to 4 hours to reach to the top. The height of this mountain is around 852 meter and the gradient of the mountain is quite tough.

We reach the peak roughly 12.00pm. Even though its noon, but lucky the peak is well surrounded with jungle. So, you won't feel the heat so much.

The peak doesn't have any nice view to look, nor it have any marker or Beirut like other mountain. Just a flat area with couple of places where you can sit down and camp.

We spend roughly 2 hours waiting for others to gather before we make our way back down.

This is me, finally reach to the top !

Going down took roughly half the time, depends if you are able tu run down. There is a pond near the starting point where you can stop and rest ( or for cleaning ). It also have a toilet ( well, not so properly manage, but usable) if you thinking of using one.

Going up here require no entry fees, or permit. You can come here straight and make your way to the top. Enjoy guys !
