OLD BATAVIA - KOTA TUA

Old city, or "Kota Tua", is one of the tourist attraction in Jakarta, that have many old building built in the 17th century. Around here is some museum that you can visit like the Fatahillah Museum, Wayang Museum, Ceramic Museum, Kota Intan Drawbridge, and also Sunda Kelapa Harbour.






Kota Tua is where the Dutch immigrants settled and established their seat of government. Buildings showcasing Dutch architecture still stand around here. Wonder around this area and you will find Cafe Batavia, a place where the Dutch used to dine.









Try walk around the square, interact with the locals, ride a bike, or, visit the museums around.
