PAI DISTRICT - PART 1

It took roughly 2 hours 55 minutes to fly from Kuala Lumpur ( Malaysia ), to Chiang Mai International Airport ( Thailand ). With a bit of turbulence and bumpy ride along the way ( not to mention, no meal inside the flight ), I manage to break through all of it with a long nice morning nap.

Soonest as arrived at the airport, the first thing that I would do is, to buy Local Sim-card. This is so important for me, as nowadays ( with the help of technology ), keeping in touch with the ones at home make it easier, cheaper, and more convenient ( and not to forget, Data for Google along the way ).

Chiang Mai International Airport

Head straight to the exit and catch for local Taxi. My main destination is to head to Chiang Mai Bus Terminal, but have to make a quick stop at Central Airport Plaza to buy some supplies. Airport to this plaza will cost BHT50 per person.

Taxi in Chiang Mai - Range around BHT50 per person ( depending on destination, and group )

In here you will find almost everything you need, starting from banks, foods, medicine, cloth, shops, and more. As for me, a sweet morning breakfast is all I need ( nyum nyum...)

It only take half and hour from Central Airport Plaza to Chiang Mai Bus Terminal. From main road, to small roads, even an ally ( since the taxi is small ), you will start to know the overall look of the city by the time you reach there.

Even though we stop at a bus terminal, actual fact is, we need to ride a minivan ( not a bus ). There is no bus going to Pai if hope for one. Besides, taking a minivan is far more cheaper then a bus.

Have to bare in mind that this journey is not going to be a nice, well, lovely walk-in-the-park kind of ride. It took 3 hours to reach there ( plus the dizziness curve and zig zag road )

All the best, and, above all, be mentally prepared....
