PAI DISTRICT - PART 6 - HALF DAY TOUR

MEMORIAL BRIDGE

It was built in 1942 by the Japanese to transport weapons and provisions to Myanmar ( last time call Burma ) during World War II. It is located at kilometre marker 88 on highway 1095, Mae Malai-Pai Road

This bridge over Pai river has become one of many fascinating tourist attractions of Pai.

Pai River

They even have an old tricycle here for you to pose a shot (clik...clik...)

Adorable kids wearing traditional customs ( pay them a token for having their picture ya )

At the end of the bridge, you will find few shops and restaurant where you can chill for a while ( maybe having lunch or cup of tea )

Well, looks like we are done here. Lets head straight to our next stop ...

PAI CANYON

The canyon provides quite a nice view and also some interesting trails ( which can be a bit dodgy in places ). There is a small stall selling smoothies, and that's it.

Try not to come here during the hottest part of the day, as it is very lacking in shades.

The hot sun really make us thirsty. Can't wait to go back down and buy a big bottle of water.

Our next stop, Strawberry Garden ...
