Tak Bai, under the provice of Narathiwat ( Thailand ), is a small town that links between Malaysia and Thailand borders via Tumpat, Kelantan. Getting a cross the Ko Lok River ( Sungai Golok ), you can either take the small passenger boat, or a big one if you driving your own vehicle.
As you pass your way thru Pengkalan Kubor immigration, you will see a small landing area where people waiting for the boat. The fare for each person is RM1.20. The crossing will take 15 minutes to reach.
What awaits you on the other side is a small town where lots of trading happen. You can find almost everything here, from foods, cloths, shoes, watches, etc. Its like a small intro for what is Thailand all about if you consider yourself a first timer.
From here, we take the tuk tuk and make our way to our next destination.
