We manage our shopping and everything earlier and arrive at the bus station around 9.00pm. The bus depart at 10.00pm, so, we do have time to prepare before leaving. This place is actually not an actual bus station. Is just a shop that operates the bus from here to Sapa.
I highly recommend you guys to try this bus. It's call Sapa Express. The service is good, the station is clean, and the staff is quite friendly. The cost to go to Sapa is USD13 per one way. It's a sleeper bus, so, you can sit back and relax while waiting to arrived at Sapa. And another thing, this bus got toilet. YES, a TOILET. So you won't have to worry if nature call ( if you know what I mean ).
The journey will take you 5 and a half hours ( make it 6 hours to play safe ) to reach. The bus will stop for a while ( roughly 30 minutes ) for dinner right after one and a half hours leaving from Hanoi.
The interior of the bus is quite cosy. It does feel comfortable for a sleeper bus. Its a free seating where first come is first served. Well, do go in earlier guys to book your seats.
We arrived at Sapa somewhere around 3.30am in the morning. The office is closed (open at 6.00am), but the door is open incase if you want to use the toilet. There's nothing much you can do. The weather outside is freaking cold. You finger will numb if you don't ware your gloves. So, the best thing to do is, continue your sleep until sunrise.
