BUKIT SAGA, AMPANG, SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN - Part 1

Bukit Saga is consider one of the hill that still exist in the urban town of Kuala Lumpur. Its been maintained by the local community around it since day one. It sits on a border between Cheras and Ampang district.

Getting here is not so hard. You can drive your way here using MRR2 Highway, or take a cab straight here. Like me, driving from Petaling Jaya would take me roughly 25 minutes.

This hill is surrounded by residents area. Every day you will see people come in and out. Some might use this place as their daily routine for exercise. Others, just passer by like me, admiring the nature that still exist. The height of the hill is roughly 410 meter. All walks of life can use this hill as a place for hiking.

There are 2 ways going to the top. Each marked as Trail A and Trail B. Both have their own level of challenges.

TRAIL A

From the parking area, you will have to walk your way thru this area, that looks like an abandon construction site, where there is a lot of spoiled tractors here and there, plus some stone block stacking each other.

Walk roughly 10 minutes then you will see the entrace. You will notice a stepping stone that going upwards. Right after that, you will see a small water fall on your right. This water came from the river above. Sungai Putih, I believe the name is.

Then you will have to climb your way up, using a natural tree roots terrain. Some are crafted with wood to form a step, while others, purely depends on the roots. Some part you have to pull a rope (provided there) to make your way up. Keep up doing this until you reach the top.

This track will take you roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your speed. Average people who runs to the top normally they make it somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes. Well, don't rush. Take your time. Follow your pace. Just enjoy the scenery.
