Making a comebak

Greeting everyone !

How are you guys doing ? Been quite a while since I last wrote my blog, way back to 2019, the year before COVID. I've been resting ever since. With all the lockdown and limitations on traveling etc, guess I'm not the only one whose having the same unfortunate.

Well, time flies, and thank goodness all those hard times we can put behind, and let it be part of our history.

Many have changed since I last left. A lot of new experience been gained, and I can't wait to share it with you guys. From diving underwater to flying above sky ( I'm not actually flying.. just a little help with my drone ), all this I will write from time to time.

To be honest, I really don't know where to start. Have to dig out my PC and sort out which one to write first. I guess this will take quite some time. But I promise, something will be out soon.

Illumi Fest Run Malaysia

SATURDAY 2nd MARCH 2019

Run in the dark they say ? Well, that is what really happens here. This running event is held at Selangor Turf Club. 5km in total for distance. Running is not an easy thing to do, since there is a lot of crowd joining in.

A bunch of us ( well, nearly 20 people to be exact ) join this event. Flag-off at 9.30pm and from the beginning you will be shot with glow-in-the-dark liquid. At first, you still got space to run, because we were running at the empty horse track. Later, we all stuck in a tunnel. Takes few minutes here in order for all of the crowd to pass thru.

You will be hearing sounds of music through out the track. There will be few check-points where you can stop for a while and take pictures. After about 2 hours then you reach the finish line.

You can enjoy the concert after the running. The party finish by 12.00am.

Overall, it was a fun night !

Dolly Dim Sum

SUNDAY 21st OCTOBER 2018

Wanted to eat dim sum, but HALAL one ? Well guys, come over to this place. Dolly Dim Sum is the name, and the branch is quite many. Where I am going here is the Sunway Pyramid outlet.

The outlet is quite new here open at Sunway Pyramid, so you guys no need to travel all the way to Kuala Lumpur to eat dim sum. The decor is nice, such an ample space for wheel chairs and strollers. Suitable if you bring your family, or, even for a business meeting discussions.

My favourites is has to be the steamed har gao prawn dumpling, crystal prawn dumpling, prawn cheong fun, fried yam croquette and steamed bbq bun. All taste fresh and piping hot. Oh my goodness, it taste so good !

The staff is very plesent and the food arrives quite fast. Price wise for me, is reasonable, especially for a restaurant inside a shopping mall.

The Garage KL

WEDNESDAY 13th MARCH 2019

If you looking for a place that is hip and trendy ( as what they say, hipster ), then you guys might wanna check-out this place. It's call The Garage. Located at Ampang, this place surely will make you amazed.

It is not just a restaurant. This is a place where you can hangout and do many things. You can shop, you can eat, you can send car to the workshop on the ground floor, or even get a haircut !

In terms of food, a lot of options to choose from. Surely you will find something that will tackle your taste-buds. As for me, Fish & Chips and a nice cool chocolate ice-blended fits me nicely.

If you come here on the weekend, you will be entertained by live band. Surely it will give you some lively mood while enjoying your meal.

Overall, the food is nice and the ambience is superb. Suitable if you are coming by yourself, with your love one, your friends, or even with your family as well.

GLOWTOPIA - NEW YEAR FESTIVAL

Where am I celebrating for this new year ?

Well, me and my friends celebrate at Sunway Lagoon waterpark, where the Glowtopia Event took place. The que starts from as early as 5.30pm ( even though the gate open at 7.00pm ). Quite a long que to wait, but the pace is fast.

We have our dinner first at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall ( just next to the theme park ). The food inside is quite expensive, so we better off have our dinner outside.

This is the first time this kind of event took place here in malaysia. Its originated from the US, the same concept was bring-in, where you suppose to be wet all day out. But, well, unfortunately, things doesn't come out the way is suppose to be.

Many false error come out. I'm not try to complain, but maybe this is what happen when it is the first time for the organiser. Some point that they should take consider :

1. The theme is suppose to be WET. But for us, not a single water splash at us. We all dry the whole night. I see that they close down the water park. Honestly, they should open the wet park. Let the water flow. This will sure bring more excitement for the audience.

2. The water slide took TOO-LONG-QUE to wait. We waited nearly 1 hour plus in line, but end up, bail out. Cannot take it anymore. Too long to wait. And some people keep on cutting lines, quite poor management on the organiser's side.

3. The quality of stuff sell here is to poor. We bought a bottle of water, that suppose to glow when splash on to others, but, nothing happen. It just like a normal water that doesn't serves any purpose.

4. Same goes to the paint. We try paint it to our face, but the quality is too bad, it looks to poor when applied.

5. The only thing that went right tonight is the fireworks. Right past 12.00am you will see a lot of fireworks in the sky. It last for 15 minutes, then finish.

Overall, its quite a mess event. For a fee that cost nearly rm100 per person, what we get is really not worth it. Hope the organiser do some adjustment and improve for next time. Or else, they will sure have a bad review.
